Morgan Samuels Inn Venue
Nestled in The Finger Lakes
Canandaigua NY
Liza Barnum, proprietor

The Morgan Samuels Inn was Purchased in the fall of 2019 by Reg & Liza Barnum of Canandaigua,
for the purpose of an Events Venue and The Inn, to be run by Liza. The property and gardens were in much need of TLC.
After selling the Cheshire Union / The Company Store, Liza owned her own landscaping and cleaning business and was also a gardener for the late Peggy Wegman. Liza is also a “Master Gardener”
The first year at the Inn was total discovery… trying to figure out what was here amongst all the golden rod. Inspired by an essay written by Verna Sutherland in 1931, in her Daughters of the American Revolution application, which describes her grandfather’s home, "The Stone House" and all the gardens. She has tried to recreate some of her descriptions. (see History).
Liza starts her own seeds yearly in the basement and then moves everything to the Greenhouse, then finally the planting in the spring. Filling the flower pots & the gardens around the mansion and throughout the grounds.
